Every state and school has varying requirements. Ohio requires 750 clock hours and a passing score on the MBLEx licensing exam. AIMT’s diploma program is 900 clock hours and takes 12 months to complete. Graduating with a higher number of clock hours will allow easier licensure in other states that may require more than the minimum 750 clock hours for those who may want to do so.

LMTs can work in many settings, such as physical therapy offices, chiropractic offices, hospitals, rehabilitation facilities, massage specific businesses, spas, salons, medi-spas, gyms & work out facilities, professional sports organizations, entertainment venues, casinos, vacation destinations, cruise ships, and of course, independent practice.

Ohio LMTs average $48,000.00 to $60,000.00 per year working full time. Part time LMTs average $29,000.00 per year. The national average is $54,000.00 per year working full time.

The MBLEx licensing Diploma Program at AIMT is challenging and will require an amount of outside study in all of the classes. Most students agree that dedicating 30-60 minutes each day outside of class will yield the success needed to pass the courses and prepare you for the MBLEx exam.

Tuition for the MBLEx licensing Diploma Program at AIMT is $16,500.00 and includes the cost of sitting for the MBLEx exam in the twelfth month of the program. AIMT offers affordable payment plans, scholarships and financing options to those who qualify. You will need to purchase required books totaling approximately $350.00 at registration and a massage table for outside practice before the end of the first quarter. Massage table cost, size, and quality vary wildly and AIMT offers the ability to practice on a wide variety of examples before you decide what equipment will work best for you and your goals.
